LEGISLATIVE GOALS - ENERGY

  1. S.Res.30:  Biden-Lugar Climate Resolution

When it comes to climate change, the only real solutions are international solutions. Getting the U.S. back in the game is a critical first step towards curbing climate change.

Status: Passed out of Senate Foreign Relations Committee by voice vote on March 28, 2007.

What's next: We need your help to get as many co-sponsors as possible to ensure that S.Res.30 passes.  So call your senators today and ask them to co-sponsor S.Res.30!

  2. S.193:  Energy Diplomacy and Security Act of 2007
This bill gets the U.S. working together with other nations to improve energy security, expand access to renewable energy technologies and fight climate change.  It also corrects major flaws in  policy coordination structures,  which prevent the U.S. from effectively developing and implementing energy policy.  Faced with enormous energy challenges from fossil fuel dependence to climate change, improving policy coordination and building partnerships are key steps towards achieving a secure and sustainable future.

Status: Passed out of Senate Foreign Relations Committee by voice vote on March 28, 2007.

What's next: Stay tuned! We will need your help to get this passed!
