DARFUR: ACTION NOT
RHETORIC
For more than two years, President Bush and high-ranking members of
his administration have labeled the on-going atrocities in the
Darfur region of Sudan “genocide.” However lofty the president’s
rhetoric has been for the 400,000 victims of this crisis,
his administration’s actions counter the compassion he has publicly
proclaimed for the systematic killing that continues at the rate of
500 people a day in Darfur.
