PARTNERS FOR GLOBAL SOLUTIONS FAQS

Q. What is the Partners for Global Solutions Program?

A. The Partners for Global Solutions Program a fun, easy way for you to make a difference on the global issues that matter to you. By becoming a Partner, you will join a network of activists who take action in their local communities. The common goal of our efforts is to build the political will for positive multilateral U.S. global engagement.

Q.  I work with lots of groups already. What makes you unique?

A. We talk about a solution, not just what is wrong with the world. Citizens for Global Solutions is the only group dedicated to the  establishment and reform of democratic global institutions and laws to solve global problems.

Q. Why should I care?

A. Our lives, our jobs and our families are increasingly affected by global problems, such as terrorism, climate change, war and infectious diseases. Because these problems are global in scope it is vital that countries work together to solve them.

Q. Do you really need my help? Can one person make a difference?

A. YES! Politicians care most and respond best to the concerns of their constituents. By working with us, you are making global issues relevant on a local level.

Q. Do I need any special skills or equipment to join your network?

A. We will help you build the skills you need. All you need to get started is a phone, an email address, and a positive attitude.

Q. So, what will I actually do if I work with you?

A. Every two months we host a national conference call where we interview an expert on the issue that we will be working on for that two-month period. This is an opportunity for you to get the latest news on our hottest issues. The conference call includes a question and answer period where you will have the chance to ask the speaker any questions you may have.

Every two months we will also send you an action guide that will give you detailed instructions on how to execute an advocacy project in your community that will help advance our national agenda. Additionally, there are conference calls once a month where you will have the chance to share best practices with other advocates and get coaching from the program director. Program participation requires no more than an hour a week.
