H. CON. RES. 116 - DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENTS AND WITHHOLDING
OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE UN
Introduced March 25, 2003 into the Senate by Rep. Pete

Cosponsors.
This resolution expresses that the US should hold
contributions to the UN until the UN Charter is reoriented to disallow
non-democratically elected governments to be members of the Security Council or
to chair UN agencies.
Resolution expresses the sense of the Congress that the
United States should withhold its assessed and voluntary contributions to the
United Nations until the Charter of the United Nations is amended to ensure that
a member state may not be a member of the Security Council, or serve as chair
of, or in any other position of responsibility in, any organ or agency of the
United Nations, unless the government of that country has been democratically
elected.

CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
Expressing the sense of the Congress that the United States
