 • Holds the current regime in Iran responsible for its threatening behavior and supports a transition in democracy.

 • Authorizes the president to continue to impose sanctions, controls, and regulations relating to weapons of mass destruction.

 • Amends the Iran and Libya Sanctions of 1996, which ends sanctions imposed upon Libya.

• Imposes sanctions on any entity that provides assistance to Iran and weapons of mass destruction.

 • Provides the president with the authority to aid those individuals who promote democracy in Iran and do not support the current Iranian government.
