• Criticizes the military offensive of the government of Sudan in Darfur in
disobedience of the terms of the May 5, 2005, Darfur Peace Agreement and the
April 8, 2004, N'Djamena to cease fire in the region. •
Requests the international community to aid the deployment of United
Nations peacekeepers to Darfur.
• Urges the president to assign a special envoy to Sudan.
•
Calls upon the U.N. to levy embattled sanctions of Security Council Resolution
1556 (2004) and paragraph 14 of Security Council Resolution 1564 (2004).
• Calls upon the president to fully fund a U.N. Peacekeeping
Mission to Sudan.
• Urges the president to work with allies in
the U.N. and NATO to Impose a "no fly zone" in Darfur.
