Picture the world as it looks from space: Blue water, wisps of clouds, deserts and ice caps – but no national borders. When it comes to living in a healthy world, borders are irrelevant. Pollution, SARS, climate change, AIDS: these potentially devastating problems affect us all equally and cannot be solved without a global approach. To make the world a better place for future generations, we will have to work with other countries to set out rules we can all live by. The U.S. has much to offer because of the great scientific and medical expertise that we can bring to the table. Our cooperation with other countries and international institutions will be an essential element in finding solutions to global environment and public health challenges. Citizens for Global Solutions works to encourage U.S. leadership and global cooperation to solve pressing environmental and health challenges. Our work includes:

• Encouraging the U.S. to resume its leadership role in protecting the global environment while working jointly with other countries;

• Establishing an international system to help countries work together to protect the environment and manage shared natural resources; and

• Providing information on global environmental challenges and global health challenges.
