In our increasingly interconnected world, cooperation is the smart, effective way to solve global problems.  The United Nations stands today as the one place where all the world’s countries come together to promote democracy, protect human rights, end poverty, meet the threat of global terrorism and move us all toward a better, safer world.

 REFORM & REVITALIZATION

As the United Nations continues to grow and operate, observers agree that it must be made more effective and relevant. The founding principles of the United Nations – broader freedom, greater cooperation, and deeper respect – are the result of U.S. leadership. Now the United States must lead again, working with our friends and allies to strengthen the U.N. so it can respond to the challenges of a new century. + GO

 U.S./U.N. RELATIONS & LEGISLATION

Citizens for Global Solutions tracks legislation on issues that effect the United Nations in the House and Senate. We believe that the United Nations can be most effective if the U.S. constructively engages and interacts with U.N. bodies and institutions through cooperation. Our legislative branch is empowered to ratify treaties and designate funds for international programs, giving Members of Congress a powerful position to promote U.S. leadership and partnership in the world. + GO

 THE U.N. AND YOU

The United Nations is about people around the world coming together to find solutions to today’s global problems. You too can be part of these solutions!

Visit our U.N. 21 Action website to get involved. There you can send a Letter to the Editor to your local paper, find out how your legislators voted on global issues, sign up for the daily U.N. briefing emails, and more!  + GO
