April 22, 2005 -- The International Criminal Court's (ICC) Chief
Prosecutor, Luis Moreno Ocampo, recently met with senior leaders
from Acholi, Lango, Iteso, and Madi communities to discuss the ICC's
investigation of atrocities committed in Uganda.

ICC Prosecutor Receives List of Suspected Sudanese War
Criminals from the United Nations
April 5, 2005 -- Today, the ICC Prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo,
was in New York to receive a list of suspected Sudanese war
criminals from UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan. It marks the first
step in an ICC investigation of the atrocities committed in the
Darfur region of Sudan.

Security Council Refers Atrocities in Darfur, Sudan to the
International Criminal Court
April 1, 2005 -- In an historic vote, the UN Security Council
referred the situation in Darfur, Sudan, to the International
Criminal Court (ICC) for the investigation and prosecution of
persons responsible for committing war crimes, crimes against
humanity, and genocide.

Resolution 1593 passed 11-0 with the United States, Algeria, Brazil, and China
abstaining.

United Nations Experts Call for Referral of Situation in
Darfur, Sudan to the International Criminal Court
March 16, 2005 -- A group of 15 UN Human Rights Experts released a
joint statement calling on the UN Security Council to "immediately
adopt concrete measures to end the violence" in Darfur, Sudan and
refer the situation to the International Criminal Court.

Kenya Is the 98th Country to Ratify the Rome Statute and
Become a Member of the ICC
March 15, 2005 -- Kenya became the 98th state to join the
International Criminal Court (ICC). 27 African nations have now

grouping on the Court.

Citizens for Global Solutions Calls on President Bush to
Support Security Council Referral of Darfur to the ICC
January 25, 2005 -- Citizens for Global Solutions President Charles
Brown, former spokesperson for the U.S. government delegation at the
Rome Conference that created the ICC treaty, sent a letter to
President Bush calling on him help end the genocide in Darfur by
supporting a referral of the Darfur situation to the International
Criminal Court (ICC).

January 24, 2005 -- On January 7, the International Criminal Court (ICC)
announced it had received a letter from the government of the
Central African Republic (CAR) asking the Prosecutor to open an

Secretary-General’s proposal to reform the UNCHR.
