GLOBAL DAYS FOR DARFUR: "Time is running out!"
- April 23 - 30, 2007 -

Over the course of four years, genocide in Darfur has claimed 400,000 lives, displaced 2.5 million people, and left more than 3.5 million men, women and children struggling to survive amid violence and starvation.

It is past time something is done. And you can help!

During the week of April 23 - 30, 2007, people from around the world will participate in the third Global Days for Darfur. From from high-profile rallies to local candle light vigils to major marches, individuals from across the globe will come together to highlight the need for immediate deployment of an international peacekeeping force in Darfur.

Global Days for Darfur presents an opportunity to place focused pressure on U.S. policy makers, the United Nations, the Government of Sudan and the international community to call for the urgent protection of Darfuri civilians.

As an Executive Committee member of the Save Darfur coalition, Citizens for Global Solutions is promoting action and awareness during this important week. We need your help to inspire and take part in events around the country. We hope you will join with countless others in organizing a local or regional event!

How to participate in this year's Global Days for Darfur:

• Plan an event in your area! The Global Days for Darfur Event Planning Guide has detailed step-by-step instructions on how to dream up, organize, promote, and carry out a big or small event in your area. And don't forget to apply for a grant to help cover the costs of organizing your event! Contact global@savedarfur.org to ask how.

• Find an event in your community. Visit SaveDarfur.org to find an event in your local community.
